The quality of the output oil is significantly higher in the TCC than in any of the competing technologies, which is logical. In the TCC the retention time for the oil under high temperature is maximum a couple of seconds before the oil leaves the chamber as vapours. In the indirect heaters, the oil has a much longer retention time before it evaporates. In addition, the temperature of the heating medium in an indirect technology needs to be higher than the evaporation temperature of the oil. Thus the oil is also influenced by a higher maximum temperature. In the TCC the hottest spot in the process is actually the waste itself. That is where the heat is created.
